Mark Stinson Appointed to the Howard County Commission on Aging

Columbia, Maryland – August 27, 2018 – FAI Wealth Management, a leading financial planning and investment management firm in the Baltimore-Washington region, announced that Mark Stinson, CPA, CFP ®, MBA, Principal and Senior Advisor for the firm, has joined the Commission on Aging in Howard County, Maryland. The Commission is a 15-member volunteer advisory board to the Howard County Office on Aging and Independence.

The board meets once a month to promote successful aging for older adults in Howard County by accomplishing the activities of task forces and committees, research of county and state legislation that might impact the health and well-being of older adults and their families, and providing testimony when appropriate.

Members are appointed by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council. They represent diverse professional backgrounds, various age and ethnic groups, and many geographic areas of the county.  Stinson commented, “I am honored to be appointed to the Commission on Aging and look forward to working to improve the lives of the 50-plus population in Howard County.”  He will be serving a five-year term that will begin at September 24th meeting.

Stinson is the lead contact for FAI Wealth Management in their efforts to provide proactive financial guidance and estate planning assistance, as well as assistance in locating reputable in-home care solutions, retirement communities, assisted living facilities, or skilled nursing care, as needed.
