turning things right side up

The traditional approach to wealth management centers only on investment performance, leaving your goals as an afterthought.

FAI Financial Planning Process Pyramid

At FAI, we build a solid foundation, working with you to first establish your goals and priorities. Together, we create a strategy that includes an appropriate investment portfolio whereby the returns are one result, but not the final goal.

This is important because there are some things you can influence (risk, social security claim strategy, savings, taxes, retirement plans), but other things you can’t control (interest rates, legislation, markets, tax laws, inflation, recession, economics), no matter how much you’d like to. These distractions can cause you to lose focus of the issues that matter to you most.

Our role is to guide you through the noise, directing you to the areas that you can influence and enabling you to effectively focus your resources, which will in turn help you achieve better outcomes.

Our Financial Planning Services Include:

  • Cash Flow Planning
  • Distribution/Withdrawal Planning
  • Tax Planning
  • Risk Management
  • Estate Document Review
  • Gifting and Legacy Planning
  • Insurance Review
  • Social Security/Medicare
FAI 4 Stage Process

the fai way

Our four-stage process focuses on you. It brings order, clarity and confidence to your financial life, through every season of life.

The process is anchored in four tenets: objective, transparent, responsive, and easy. These tenets support our overarching mission of serving others to bring confidence to their finances and help them to accomplish what is most personally meaningful.

1. Goals
We start by understanding your vision, what matters to you most, and what you want to achieve.

2. Strategy
Your strategy is developed through a collaborative process that integrates all of your resources in order to maximize your chance of success. The strategy is uniquely yours, as it will reflect your personal goals and ambitions. This plan of action becomes the foundation of our future meetings and our internal work throughout the year.

3. Implementation
We implement a coordinated approach based on the strategy we develop together, always linked back to your goals and vision.

  • Implementation of the portfolio recommendations using our proprietary investment process
  • Coordination with other competent, vetted professionals
  • Set tracking and accountability parameters

4. Monitoring
We operate our ongoing service under mutually agreed upon benchmarks that are set during the planning process. This ties in with our tracking and monitoring system to keep us accountable to your strategy and your goals. Together, we will take time each year to update and reflect on your vision and priorities to ensure they are being achieved, adjusting as necessary.
